Officers from the Bridgeport Police Department received a report shortly after 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1 of an assault involving a shooter near the intersection of Sixth Street and Stratford Avenue.
Police said that a man was shot three times near the intersection, suffering non-life-threatening wounds.
When officers located him, officials said that he was alert and speaking while being transported to a local hospital.
According to officials, several shell casings were located on both Sixth Street and Stratford Avenue, though no suspect has been identified.
